THE COSMETIC VICTORIES 2026: And the Winners are…
Earlier this week, the THE COSMETIC VICTORIES 2026 ceremony took place in Paris, celebrating excellence in academic and industrial innovation within the cosmetics industry. The competition is led by COSMETIC VALLEY, in partnership with the Global Cosmetics Cluster, and aims to highlight the most promising scientific and industrial projects worldwide.
A strong international edition focused on sustainable innovation
For its 11th edition, the competition placed a strong emphasis on international collaboration and sustainability, under the theme:
“Scientific progress powering sustainability in the cosmetics sector.”
This year’s edition stood out for the exceptional quality of the projects submitted, reflecting the dynamism of global cosmetic innovation.
Three winners awarded for outstanding innovations
In an exceptional decision by the jury, not only two but three prizes were awarded this year, including two distinctions in the Academic Research category.
Academic Research Prize
“From Biology to Beauty: Primary Cilia-Controlled Cosmetics”
Osaka University (Japan), represented by Manami Toriyama.“EmuLig: A Multifunctional Lignin-Based Emulsifier for Sustainable Cosmetic Formulations”
Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal), represented by Giovana Colucci.
Industrial Innovation Prize
“Sustainable Multifunctional Biosurfactants from Circular Bio-Resources for Cosmetic Formulations”
SurfACT (Portugal), represented by Joana Almeida.

Looking ahead to Cosmetic 360 2026
The next milestone will take place in October at Cosmetic 360, where the 12th edition of THE COSMETIC VICTORIES will be officially launched. The 2026 winners will also present their projects during the conference programme.
